We stand in solidarity with all fair-minded people around the world protesting against police brutality, who in this moment and in future will seek justice for George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, Eric Garner, Rashan Charles and countless other victims of injustice, indignity and outrageous violence. We stand with the families of all those, who, because their lives have been cut short are unable to realise their dreams, and with those who have suffered unbearable loss from the evils of inequality, oppression and injustice. We look forward, as Dr Martin Luther King did, to the day when people “will not be judged by the colour of their skin but by the content of their character”, the day when all people will be treated equally and fairly in the name of justice.
